Arashiyama

In Arashiyama and Sagano are a couple of temples, fine old houses and souvenir shops. Some are presented here:

Otagi Nembutsu-ji

A small temple on the way to Kiyotaki, showing many stone carved Rakan, very unusual in amusing expressions:

A little bit more down is

Adashino Nembutsu-ji

Nearby are four hundred years old houses, showing a unique roof architecture, and less old pottery shops:

You should continue to

Gio-ji

And don't forget

Jojakko-ji

Last but not least Arashiyama is worth a visit at Sakura (cherry blossom) too!!!
