Who am I?

Born 1970 in Mainz I studied Chemistry at the Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz from 1989 to 1995.
In May 1998 I finished my PhD about Network Stabilized Ferroelectric Liquid Crystals at the Institute of Organic Chemistry in the group of Prof. Dr. R. Zentel.
Since March 1999 I am living in Osterode am Harz.

From August 1992 to March 1993 I studied in Kyoto (Japan) at the Kyoto University, with a DAAD scholarship.
I enjoyed Japan and the fascinating city of Kyoto very much. On Japannet.de you can find Japan related links and some of my photos I have taken there.

But usually I am in Germany, spending my spare time with photography, extended cycling tours and voluntary work for the German Red Cross. (Sorry, link is in German only.)
